Book Review - Twisted Lies

Image
Twisted Lies by Ana Huang Rating - 5 stars WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD This book was definitely my 2nd favorite book in the series! (Twisted Games being my first fav) The entire story just pulled me in so much that I found myself unable to put the book down. I was constantly wanting to know what happened next. I liked how this one didn't have as much spice in it. Of course, I love the spice and I enjoyed it in the other books, but it was a nice change. This book was definitely a very slow burn, but I really enjoyed that aspect. It was a nice change because I think that Twisted Hate went too quickly for me, personally.  I LOVED Christian. Him and Rhys are definitely the best book boyfriends in the whole series. I felt like Alex and Josh were both so cold to begin with, and they still seem like assholes to me. Christian was always so respectful of Stella and I loved that.  I thought the stocker thing made the book pretty thrilling, so I liked that piece of it. Although, I feel like the

Book Review - Twisted Hate

Twisted Hate by Ana Huang RATING: 4/5 stars WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD  Let me just start off by saying that this book had me blushing HARD. This was probably the spiciest book I've ever read. It was almost like every other chapter had a sex scene.  I did enjoy this book, but it also feel like it went too fast for me. I didn't necessarily want a slow burn but it also felt like the relationship developed too quickly. Jules and Josh went from loathing each other to banging practically over night. It was a great book and I did like their relationship, but I just think it went a little too fast for me.  I liked how they included the whole blackmailing thing and all the stuff about Jules' past, so it wasn't completely about sex and romance. It was cool to learn how Jules had a whole other past that she was hiding from everyone. And I like how Josh didn't judge her for it.  However, Josh did piss me off when he decided to sleep with Jules one more time before saying the most

Book Review - Twisted Games

Twisted Games by Ana Huang  WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD  Rating: 5/5 stars  I honestly did not think that I would love this book as much as I did. Everything about it was flawless. I have been super into the whole royalty theme lately and this book was perfect. Bridget is such an amazing character. I love how independent and strong she is. She doesn't take shit from anyone and definitely doesn't let men tell her what to do. (unless it's Rhys, of course)  I love how Rhys and Bridget's relationship slowly blossomed and they went from not being able to stand each other to being unable to stay apart. Rhys' devotion to Bridget made me feel so warm and fuzzy inside. The way he truly loved her and would do anything to keep her safe and happy was so sweet and made me truly want that type of love.  I did not expect the twist of Andreas and Lord Erhall being related to Rhys. I thought that was a very cool thing to add, though. It definitely came as a surprise. I also was very sur

Book Review - Twisted Love

Image
Twisted Love by Ana Huang WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD Rating -  4 stars I absolutely loved this book. It is so well written and had a huge twist that I did not expect. I love Ava's character and personality. She seems so sweet, but also so badass. Alex is great, but he mad me very mad at times. He was amazing to Ava and went above and beyond for her. But, the way he basically "owned" her was a little scary. (kind of hot though lol) I truthfully did not expect Ava's dad to be the person who tried to kill her. That was a complete twist. I was so angry at him that he would do that to her just because she wasn't his biological child. I love how Alex handled the situation though, and how Josh got to get a few punches in for his sister. Karma at its finest.  I loved Bridget's character as well. I thought it was so cool how Ava's best friend is a princess. I can't wait to read Twisted Games, which has Bridget as the main character. I think I'm going to love

Book Review - If He Had Been With Me

Image
If He Had Been with Me by Laura Nowlin Rating - 3.5 stars WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD This book was good, but I honestly think it was overhyped. I did enjoy it, but I definitely don't think it was as heartbreaking as people said. It was sad that Finny died at the end, but it felt predictable. With that being said, I do think this book had some good moments. I really liked some of Autumn and Jamie's moments together. Jamie seemed so sweet at first, and he truly loved her. Some of things he did for her were so sweet. That is, until he decided to cheat on her. I knew it was coming because of how Jamie seemed interested in everything Sasha did and how he didn't want her to get back together with Alex. Sasha and Jamie spent so much alone time together that it seemed obvious that they would develop feelings for each other.  I really loved Finn and Autum's relationship, although I felt like everything happened too slowly. Throughout the whole book, I feel like there was a lot of

Book Review - The Love Hypothesis

Image
*WARNING : SPOILERS AHEAD* The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood   Rating - 5 stars  The Love Hypothesis is probably one of the best books I have read in a long time. It was the book that got me out of a reading slump. I felt like as soon as I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. It was so attention-grabbing and I found myself reading for hours.  My favorite part of this book was the fact that they were both in love with each other, but neither of them knew how the other felt. There was a lot of miscommunication, but I don't mind that in books. I thought this book had a very good plot, and I loved how the story progressed not too fast and not too slow. It was a nice build up to them discovering their feelings for each other. There were moments where it felt like they were so close to admitting their feelings for each other, just to go back to square one. It was frustrating at times, but I truly loved the build up to the end. I love the way Adam is so protective over Olive and

Book Review - Verity

Image
* WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD * Rating: 5 stars  I just want to start this off by saying .... what the actual fuck did I just read.  This book was intense. I felt like so much was happening so fast. It was all so crazy how back and forth it went. I have no idea how to even begin to process this book. Verity made my blood boil. I absolutely loved Jeremy. Crew was adorable, and I really did like Lowen, despite her taking so long to tell Jeremy about the manuscript that Verity wrote.  I felt like every time we would get to read the manuscript, the angrier I got at Verity. I cannot fathom how someone could be as cruel as her. She was so desperate to be the only one her husband loved that she was jealous of her children and plotted against them. She was their mother. She was supposed to be the one to nurture her babies, yet she hated them more than anything.  I personally believe that Verity is lying in the letter that she wrote to Jeremy at the end of the book. I truthfully do not believe tha
